WildJar achieves ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification

WildJar has been awarded ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, the internationally recognised standard for information security management.

Every day, agencies and businesses across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US trust WildJar with their phone calls, call recordings, transcripts and customer data. That trust is something we take seriously, and this certification is independent confirmation that the way we protect that information meets a rigorous global benchmark.

It's a milestone we're proud of, but it isn't a finish line. Security at WildJar is an ongoing commitment, and ISO 27001 gives us a framework to keep raising the bar.

What is ISO/IEC 27001:2022?

ISO/IEC 27001 is the leading international standard for information security management systems (ISMS), published jointly by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

Rather than a simple checklist, it requires an organisation to systematically identify information security risks, put the right controls in place to manage them, and keep improving those controls over time.

The 2022 edition is the latest version of the standard. It modernises the control set to reflect how businesses operate today, with 93 controls grouped into four themes: organisational, people, physical and technological. It also introduces new controls covering areas such as threat intelligence, cloud services security, data leakage prevention and secure coding.

Certification isn't self-assessed. It's awarded only after an independent audit by an accredited certification body, followed by regular surveillance audits to make sure the standard continues to be met.

To support our ISMS, WildJar uses Vanta as our security and compliance management platform.

Vanta connects directly to the systems we use to run WildJar, including our cloud infrastructure, identity and HR tools, and continuously monitors our security controls. Instead of checking compliance once a year ahead of an audit, we get real-time visibility of how we're tracking, with issues flagged automatically so they can be fixed quickly.

Vanta also helps us manage our security policies, staff security training, employee onboarding and offboarding, and the security of the third-party vendors we work with. It means security at WildJar isn't a point-in-time exercise. It's monitored every day.
